Exams

How do the exams work?

Our exams allow you to demonstrate your knowledge and proficiency in a subject. Taking an exam proves that you have understood and mastered the concepts taught on your diploma path.

The exam itself is browser-based. They consist of 50 multiple-choice questions. These will be presented in a variety of formats including select one answer, select multiple answers, and match each question to the correct answer.

Once you are registered for the exam, you can start the exam at any time. You then have 90 minutes to complete the exam. The pass mark for each exam is 70%.

What will be on the exam?

The exam will test your knowledge of the compulsory modules of your diploma path. All of the information you need to know to answer the questions will be contained within the learning materials of these modules.

Revising the compulsory modules is especially important if there has been a long gap between completing the module and taking the exam, as new material may have been added to the module.

What if I need more time?

Additional time is built into the exams. Each exam is time limited to 90 minutes. However, most students can complete the exam in under 60 minutes. We allow up to 90 minutes to accommodate any students who require additional time.

Can I review my answers?

Unfortunately not. In line with any exam you would take with a university or professional body, the exam itself is sealed to protect the integrity of the exam for future students. However, your tutor can provide you with a list of areas to revise.

Can I retake an exam?

Yes. To do this, you will need to purchase an additional exam voucher. Some students who purchased the full diploma path directly with us may have an exam re-intake included in their package.

Please note that our exam system will generate a new exam for you on each attempt and therefore the questions will not be identical. It is important to ensure you have revised the material to ensure you pass the second time.
